The practice area covers the North-East
of Norwich. We have a stable population of 13,000 patients
and run a personal list system which we have found promotes
continuity of care, patient satisfaction and naturally equates
practise workload.
The practise has a long history of
training and is committed to education. Stewart Fraser, the
original trainer, passed on the mantle when the paper demands
of summative assesment became too onerous. He has the extensive
experience of training 22 prior registrars to call upon. Sunil
Pinto, the current trainer, has been training for the last
5 years and is currently involved in training his tenth registrar
(8 of different nationalities). Sunil particularly enjoys
the challenge of teaching video communication skills and introducing
registrars to the ethical and philosophical side of General
Practice.
The whole practise, partners and the
Primary Healthcare Team are fully involved in the training
process. We would welcome any interested potential registrars
to visit the practice or speak to previous trainees. Please
contact out Practise Manager or the trainer, Sunil Pinto to
organise a visit.
