Ludham Surgery is a small rural practice
with a dispensary about 15 miles from Norwich, in the centre
of the Broads area. It is paired with Stalham Green Surgery
but registrars only work in Ludham. They have their own room
and PC. They have two tutorials per week and a protected afternoon
for personal study. Day release is at UEA for the Norwich
VTS. There is also a half day off for "recreation".
Ludham offers excellent training and
relations with doctors and staff to learn effectively in a
nurturing environment. Trainer is a Regional Audit Assessor
and has wide experience of MRCGP/Summative Assesment video's.
All partners are actively involved in Registrar training in
the practice.
Out of hours arrangements involve one
day/week on call in the practice and a share of Coop duties
based on NENDOC (North Walsham).
Special features include working with
limited practice nursing and a range of old peoples home and
a mental health nursing home.
