Heathgate Medical Practice is situated in Poringland, the largest in a group of villages a few miles south of Norwich. With a fast car (watch the speed camera outside the school) or blue light ambulance you can be in NNUH within a few minutes.

We all love teaching and have been a teaching practice for nearly 20 years. We are all involved from the admin and management team through the dispensary staff and nurses to the doctors. Two of our previous trainees are partners, and many others are local GPs including trainers and other educators. We teach UEA year 2 medical students. We like to support students looking at medicine as a career and at least 2 who have spent time with us in their school years are now doctors and several more are at medical school.

We hope we provide first class clinical care as well. Patient feedback suggests that we do. As well as education we are at the forefront of general practice evolution. One of our partners is current Chair of the PEC at the PCT. So lots of heated debate and insight into policies of general practice as well.
